The sharper among you have caught on to the fact that I do not normally allow comments on this blog – and yet sometimes do.  So what’s with that?

Well, most of the stuff I post does not lend itself very well to outside input.  They’re mainly feelings, reflections, and memories – personal, and really kind of private.  While I don’t mind sharing them, I don’t want or need anyone’s two-cents worth.  Don’t be offended, it’s just the way it is.

But every now and then I turn on the comments feature for a day or two – and for good reason.  I enjoy reading what you have to say, I enjoy reading about you.  For the most part, you tell me something about yourselves.  I didn’t ask you to, it just happened.

As we all know, I call myself a recluse.  But the truth is that I am really just a common social misfit – unable to have normal relations with “strangers” – so it’s my only hope of getting to “know” who’s out there – and it’s important to me.
